Please read the following terms carefully before proceeding to use the Map of Medicine. By so doing, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms.
The Map of Medicine
- The Map of Medicine is an online clinical knowledge resource that provides specialist level knowledge to healthcare professionals. The Map of Medicine is produced by Medic-to-Medic, a trading division of T&F Informa UK Limited. The Map of Medicine is made available to you via your Local Service Provider as part of the NHS National Programme for IT.
Use of the Map of Medicine
- You may only use the Map of Medicine if you are involved in providing treatment or professional advice to patients and are qualified to use the content of the Map of Medicine in a responsible and adequate manner. The Map of Medicine is not a substitute for independent medical judgement or expertise.
- You will comply with the Map of Medicine user manual and any instructions regarding use of the Map of Medicine notified to you from time to time by your Local Service Provider, Medic-to-Medic or your employer.
Access
- Access to the Map of Medicine is secured by the roles based authentication. You will take reasonable steps to prevent others from using your personal authentication or accessing the Map of Medicine in your name.
Personal Data
- The personal information you provide to Medic-to-Medic when you register for the use of the Map of Medicine will be used by Medic-to-Medic in accordance with the Privacy Statement.
Local Content
- Where content has been amended to match clinical practice in a local or regional setting, the Map of Medicine no longer retains medico-legal responsibility for that pathway. That responsibility passes to the Localisation Authority who have approved the changes for publication.
Patient Data
- You will not enter any information into the Map of Medicine application that can be used to identify a patient.
Governing Law
- These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
